The Opel Mokka is up to #3 overall in Slovenia in February.
New car sales in Slovenia dive -21.3% year-on-year in February to 3,805 units on a February 2021 tally already down -12.9% on the year prior. This leads to a year-to-date volume down -11.9% to 8,125. Volkswagen (-39%) freefalls but keeps the brands top spot with 12.7% share ahead of Renault (-28.6%) and Skoda (-44.5%) also struggling. Below, Kia (+59.7%), Hyundai (+11.4%), Toyota (+41.6%) and Opel (+88.8%) all defy the negative market with stunning year-on-year gains. Porsche (+133.3%), Mercedes (+33.9%), Jeep (+32.5%), DS (+25%) and Honda (+25%) also shine further down.
Model-wise, the Renault Clio (-17.8%) is faithful to its traditional pole position but is threatened this month by the Kia Sportage (+273.5%) whose new generation lifts up a swooping 23 spots on January to land at #2 only two units below the Clio. In fact the Top 5 is completely reshuffled this month with the new Opel Mokka up 17 ranks to #3, the Hyundai Tucson (+42.7%) up 9 to #4 and the new Toyota Yaris Cross up 5 to a record #5. The Citroen C3 (+21.5%) and Dacia Sandero (+22.4%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10 whereas the Skoda Octavia (-61.4%) is down eight spots on last month to #10.
